This is little L. She's just over a year old and made me work hard...there was way too much going on to stop and take photos! But she warmed up to me eventually and look how adorable she is! I was also so very impressed by how well she signs- I love when babies can communicate! I hope you enjoy your previews!

Just a quick note to let you all know that I'm away at a conference and will be difficult to get in touch with until the latter half of this week. If you email or call and do not get a quick response, this is why.

Conferences are not all work though - this one opened with a fantastic party at which Melissa Etheridge performed. I was about 3 feet away from her for the show - it was awesome!

(And OF COURSE there are pictures...you know me!)

New Blog Feature!

I am super excited about a new blog feature. Check out the bottom of each post and you'll see little boxes for Facebook, Twitter, Google Buzz, etc. You can click on those to easily share your session previews with friends & family through whatever social networking sites you may use. Since I am a bit of a Facebook addict, I always appreciate quick and easy links to social media - so I am excited to have it on my own blog now!

This little guy is SO stinkin' adorable! He's got a HUGE smile and I got to see a lot of it! Between just being patently cute and constantly flashing that big smile, he made my job easy. I hope you guys enjoy your previews!

These little guys are adorable and you can't help but smile around them! Big brother is just hilarious and had me laughing and the little guy just has a contagious smile! This was a super fun session - a perfect way to wrap up what was not the best day in the world. It totally put me in a better mood. Meet Sophia - The Littlest Heroes Project

Meet Sophia. She's 14 months old and has been through more in her short life than most of us will ever go through. I was so fortunate to meet Sophia and her amazing family through the Littlest Heroes Project. Sophia was born with a heart defect and didn't breathe for a solid ten minutes after she was born. She spent her first three months in the hospital where she suffered from kidney failure, cardiac arrest, damaged neck nerves, seizures, GERD, and other problems related to her heart condition. Sophia has had 2 heart surgeries and one stomach surgery - and she's doing great.

You would think that a child that has been through so much would be affected in some way by her experiences. Sophia's Mom told me in advance that she was the happiest baby she has ever met and that I would just have to meet her to see. And she was SO right! There's nothing anyone could have said to prepare me for the pure joy and happiness Sophia radiates. She is all smiles and giggles - and truly lights up the room.

Sophia's whole family is amazing. I also had the pleasure of spending some time photographing and talking to her big sister. And let me tell you, she is also an amazing girl. She has been with her little sister through everything. She has loved her, taken care of her, been scared for her, been happy for her - and has come through with more maturity than someone her age should probably have. But I think the giggle might be genetic because I am sure I caught one or two of those giggles from her too.
