Frames for a Penny!

Don't worry...I'm not trying to sell you frames. But I did think that you might find it useful to know that Aaron Brothers is currently holding their annual Penny Frame Sale. I always hit this sale and stock up on frames for my house because you seriously save a lot of money...and as you might imagine, I've always got new pictures that need homes.

New Website!

If you were looking for the blog in the past few days, you may have had a hard time finding it. I am really excited that last weekend I launch a new website. Now everything you need, including online ordering, session information, print pricing - everything - is located at OutLoudPhotography.com.

I'll still be updating the blog and posting previews regularly after every session, so be sure to check here often. And look for the blog to be getting a makeover in the coming weeks as well! I've taken a litte bit of time off lately to design and launch the new website, enjoy Christmas with my family and now to ring in the new year...probably by watching a movie and going to bed early...now that there's a toddler in my life midnight doesn't look so appealing...not even on New Years :)

Hello World. Meet Baby J.

I had the best newborn session today! He dozed off and on throughout the session, and when he was awake he was such a laid back little guy. Mom and dad were great too and I'm really excited about the pictures from our session! I couldn't narrow it down to two previews...I just love so many of this handsome little man!

Wonder of the Season

All Dressed Up

In the midst of taking holiday photos for so many clients, I squeezed in an hour to do my son's holiday shots as well. We did them at the Capitol, which was a great location - and one I look forward to using again in future sessions.

More Bars More Places

These guys are such goofballs! The boys' theory of photography is that they should be goofballs in the pictures because "These are the memories that last a lifetime." So, we will have our share of silly proofs, because they're just a silly bunch and your pictures reflect who you are. But we also got some really nice family photos... here's a preview:

On Saturday I had so much fun with this little lady. We met at the Arboretum, and as you can see, we really did have a great time!

Last Sunday I got to take photos of the sweetest little newborn! It's been a while since I got to hang out with a newborn - and this little lady was such a sweetheart. Here's a preview from our session... I may post one more preview in the coming days.

I had SO SO SO much fun with this family. I cannot even tell you how much I laughed! I hope when my kid is older he has as great a sense of humor as these guys.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Family

I had the pleasure of spending some time with this lovely family last weekend. Let me tell you - I only have one child and he's a toddler. When he's with me and we have somewhere to be at a specific time, HA! If he's coming along, I will be 5-10 minutes late due to the inevitable last minute toddler-crisis that has to be resolved before we can leave. And then I show up running and looking a bit haggard and worse for wear because we are late.

These moms and their three babies were right on time, everyone looked perfect and they were quite relaxed. They should get a prize...really. I mean it. It is no small feat to accomplish that! And because they are so together, we had a great session and got some nice pictures.

I'm only posting one preview today...but I'm editing another one of my favorites from the set so keep checking back for a preview of that one over the coming weekend...

Brothers

These guys kept me on my toes and made me really work! But they were such a fun pair! I always feel good when I end a session and the kids seem happy. This time at the end of the session when we were getting in our cars to leave, the older brother asked if maybe I could come over for a playdate sometime. That truly made my day!

Pumpkin Patch Preview

I had such a fun fun fun session on Saturday! We braved the chilly gusting wind and had so much fun playing and taking pictures at the Pumpkin Patch. Little A. was shy when we first got there, but not too long into the session, she cracked me up when she announced that she was not shy anymore. From there on out there was a lot of laughing and a lot of pictures. Such a fun session - and here are a few previews.

• Holiday Cards are here! I have several holiday card designs that I am able to customize with photos from your session. A mini-catalog of designs and prices will be available in the coming weeks. If you are interested, drop me an email and I'll make sure to email you the information as soon as it is ready.

• Newborn Special! Are you about to have a baby? New parent? Know someone who is? I am offering an extra portfolio building special on newborn photo sessions and prints. Session fee waived, free 8x10 and 50% off print order. Session will include primarily newborn photos, but also sibling and family photos if desired. To qualify, newborn must be under one month old. If you are pregnant still and want to take advantage of the special, contact me now so we can discuss your due date and the best timing for photos after your baby is born.

On a different note, I can't even say how excited I am that fall is upon us. I love this season and I was super excited to be able to break out the fall wardrobe for the little guy! And because no post should be without a picture, here are a few from my fall photo fenzy a few days ago...

Fun Family

I had a really fun session with this great family over the weekend. We explored every nook and cranny of the side of the park we were at - and managed to avoid all stray golf balls!

I had a fabulous session on Wednesday night with this little guy and his mom. This little fella is so incredibly sweet and he has the most precious smile - he just gives me warm fuzzies. Here's a preview:

Schedule Note

Just a quick note on scheduling for the month of October. I will be out of town from October 12-19 and will be unavailable for sessions. Little G Sneak Preview

I had such a fun shoot with Little G. on Saturday morning. She started out a little bit shy, but it wasn't too long before she was ready to go. We fed ducks, we played in the park, we played with flowers...she's such a cutie!

Maternal Beauty

Maternity and pregnancy are near and dear to my heart. I so loved being pregnant. I was very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time to have the opportunity to do maternity photos for this lovely woman. She'll be having this baby any day now so I've been very eager to get a sneak peek of her photos up so she can see them before the baby is born! Perhaps in a few weeks we'll be previewing pictures of her children...including her new little son! It was such a fun session - she kept me laughing the whole time!

You can catch a good smile at any given moment. I caught this one while we were at a restaurant waiting for a friend to meet us. Of course, when there is waiting, I am taking pictures.

Lunch Break Update

While I am breaking for lunch today, I thought it would be fun to post a few shots from my most recent session. I had so much fun with this family! The kids were hilarious and so sweet and it was just an overall great session. There were so many great shots, because these guys are just such a lovely family. It's hard to pick just a few to share.
